Dance Schedule for October 2011

Dances start promptly at 8:30 pm and end at 11:30 pm. Admission is $9 except for fundraisers. A contra dance lesson for beginners is given every Friday starting at 7:30 pm and is included in the price of admission.

October 7 -- Laura Brown calls to Rhythm Method String Band: Craig Edwards on fiddle and banjo, Cathy Mason on fiddle, Erica Weiss on guitar, and Dedo Norris on bass.

October 14 -- Susan Taylor with the fabulous Glen Echo Open Band. Free admission for ages 17 and under.

October 21 -- Janine Smith with The Percolators : C.W. Abbott on mandolin, guitar, jug and nose flute; Larry Edelman on dancmandolin, fiddle and guitar; Joe Fallon on guitar, banjo and bass; Joe Herrmann on fiddle, banjo, mandolin and guitar; and David Cahn on guitar, fiddle, mandolin, banjo, bass, and accordion.

October 28 -- Halloween Dance - Nils Fredland calls to Crowfoot: Adam Broome on guitar and cittern; Jaige Trudel on fiddle; Nicholas Willaims on flute, accordion and piano. This is a fundraiser for the Glen Echo Partnership for Arts and Culture. The dance admission is $10.  There will be prizes for the best costumes.
