Dance Schedule for October 2010

Dances start promptly at 8:30 pm and end at 11:30 pm. Admission is $9. A contra dance lesson for beginners is given every Friday starting at 7:30 pm and is included in the price of admission.

October 1 -- Gwyn Williams calls to Toad Mamas: Rick La Rue (fiddle), Jack Maws (piano/accordion), Patti Reun (whistles/flutes), and David Stone (mandolin, guitar and tenor banjo).

October 8 -- Susan Taylor with the fabulous Glen Echo Open Band.

October 15 -- Erik Hoffman calls to Goldcrest: Daron Douglas (fiddle), Paul Oorts (mandolin, musette accordion, cittern, and banjo), and Dave Weisler (piano and guitar).

October 22 -- Anna Rain with Crowfoot: Adam Broome on guitar/cittern, Jaige Trudel on fiddle, and Nicholas Williams on flutes/accordion/piano.

October 29 -- Susan Petric with The Opportunists: Alan Snyder on fiddle, Erik Hoffman on guitar, fiddle, percussion, mandolin, and banjo, and Topher Gayle on bass, mandolin, and percussion. ***Come join us for our ANNUAL HALLOWEEN DANCE; the ballroom is specially decorated with a pirate theme for the occasion, so wear your best costume to be eligible to win a prize! This dance is also a fundraiser for Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture; admission will be $10.
