Dance Schedule for October 2009

Dances start promptly at 8:30 pm and end at 11:30 pm. Admission is $9. A contra dance lesson for beginners is given every Friday starting at 7:30 pm and is included in the price of admission.

October 2 -- Anna Rain calls to The Serpentine Band with Andrea Hoag on fiddle; Charlie Pilzer on piano and button accordion, Leigh Pilzer on saxophone and clarinet, and Will Morrison on drums and percussion.

October 9 -- Gwyn Williams with the fabulous Glen Echo Open Band.

October 16 -- Nils Fredland, with his trombone calls to Elixir, with Ethan Hazzard-Watkins on fiddle, Anna Patton on clarinet, Jesse Hazzard-Watkins on trumpet, and Owen Morrison on guitar.

October 23 -- Susan Taylor with Raise the Roof: Judi Stellar (hammered dulcimer), Mat Clark (fiddle), Pete Soloway (bass) and Kathy Talvitie (guitar, piano).

October 30 -- Janine Smith with Contranella: Megan Beller on fiddle, Charley Beller on mandolin, banjo, and percussion, and John Wobus on piano.
This is our ANNUAL HALLOWEEN DANCE and also a fundraiser for Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture so admission will be $10 for the dance.
The ballroom is specially decorated for the occasion, so wear your best costume and be eligible to win a prize!
