Dance Schedule for June 2006

Dances start promptly at 8:30 pm and end at 11:30 pm. Admission is $8. A contra dance lesson for beginners is given every Friday starting at 7:30 pm and is included in the price of admission.

June 2 -- Shawn Brenneman calls to the Morrision Brothers (Owen Morrison (acoustic/electric guitars, mandolin), Jim Morrison (fiddle, guitar) and Will Morrison (percussion)), hot music from a family from down the Valley.

June 9 -- George Marshall calls to the fabulous Glen Echo Open Band.(In the Bumper Car Pavillion)

June 16 -- Ann Fallon with Waverly Station (David Knight (fiddle), Liz Donaldson (piano), Ralph Gordon (bass);music.davidknight.us), a high energy band featuring local talent with years of experience delighting Glen Echo dancers.

June 23 -- Gaye Fifer calls to Hotpoint (Mark Burhans (fiddle), Hilarie Burhans (banjo), Marlene Shostak (piano) Mark Hellenberg (percussion), Nick Weiland (bass); hotpointstringband.com), one of our most requested bands, returning to Glen Echo after a great dance last June. Their legendary energy and innovative stylings have made this Ohio band a favorite at music festivals and contradance weekends across North America.

June 30 -- Nils Fredland calls to House Red (Owen Morrison (guitar, mandolin), Shawn Brenneman (piano), Jonathan Thielen (fiddle)).
